Arriving at Pearson from India

A long flight is not the moment to be negotiating a ride. Here is how the pickup works, start to finish.

The short answer

Book before you fly, give us the flight number, and stop thinking about it. We track the flight, so a late departure out of Delhi or Mumbai moves your pickup automatically. You do not need to call ahead or reconfirm from the air.

Every international arrival includes 60 minutes of complimentary waiting from the moment the aircraft is on the ground. That clock starts at landing, not at your booked time, which is the part most people worry about and the part that is already handled.

Why the arrival wait matters more on this route

A flight from India lands after a very long journey, and the queue for primary inspection can be slow when several wide-body aircraft arrive together. Add baggage for a family and the walk out to the curb, and an hour goes quickly.

That is the reason for the hour of included waiting on international arrivals rather than the shorter domestic allowance. Past the included time, waiting is billed at $10 per 10 minutes, and your chauffeur will not leave without speaking to you first.

How we find you, even without a local SIM

Most travellers land without Canadian mobile service, so the pickup does not depend on you having a working phone. We watch the flight and your chauffeur is in position for your actual arrival time.

Airport wifi is free at Pearson if you want to check your confirmation, and your booking page works in a browser without an app. If anything is unclear once you land, the dispatch number on your confirmation reaches a person.

Give us a number you can be reached on and an email address when you book. If the phone is not usable on landing, the email still is.

Luggage, families, and child seats

Long-haul families travel heavy, and this is the single most common thing to get wrong. Our executive sedan seats three passengers and suits a couple with normal luggage. A family with several large suitcases wants the executive SUV, and it is worth booking that from the start rather than discovering the boot is full at the curb.

Child seats are available and always ride in the executive SUV, so a booking with a child seat is an SUV booking. Tell us the child's age when you book and the right seat is fitted before we leave the yard.

If you are unsure, say how many bags you have in the booking notes and we will tell you which vehicle fits.

Paying without a Canadian card

You pay your chauffeur at the end of the trip. There is no deposit, no card held on file, and nothing to settle before you travel, which removes the usual problem of putting a foreign card through a Canadian booking form weeks in advance.

Your fare is quoted and fixed when you book, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. Airport trips are priced on the published airport tariff rather than a meter, and traffic on the 401 does not change it.

If your plans change

Cancellation is free up to two hours before a pickup inside the Toronto area and three hours for trips further out. A flight cancelled by the airline never counts against you.

If you are rebooked onto a later flight, tell us the new flight number and the booking moves with it. That is a reply to your confirmation, not a new booking.

Give us your flight number and we watch the flight for you. Fixed fare, an hour of arrival waiting included, and you pay your chauffeur at the end of the trip.

Book your Pearson pickup

Questions, answered.

How long will the chauffeur wait if I am held up at customs?

International arrivals include 60 minutes of complimentary waiting from the moment the aircraft lands. After that, waiting is billed at $10 per 10 minutes. Your chauffeur will not leave without contacting you first.

Do I need to call when I land?

No. We track your flight, so the pickup time moves with the aircraft. If you want to speak to someone, the dispatch number is on your confirmation.

What if my phone does not work when I arrive in Canada?

That is normal and the pickup does not depend on it. We already know when your flight lands. Pearson has free wifi if you want to check your booking, and giving us an email address as well as a phone number means we can always reach you.

We are a family with a lot of luggage. Which vehicle?

The executive SUV. Our executive sedan seats three passengers and suits a couple with normal luggage, but a family arriving on a long-haul flight is usually better in the SUV. Tell us your bag count when you book if you are unsure.

Can you provide a child seat?

Yes. Child seats always ride in the executive SUV, so the booking becomes an SUV booking. Give us the child's age when you book and the right seat is fitted before we set off.

How do I pay if I do not have a Canadian credit card?

You pay your chauffeur at the end of the trip. There is no deposit and no card is held on file, so a foreign card never has to go through a booking form weeks ahead.

Is the fare fixed before I travel?

Yes. The fare is quoted when you book and does not change with traffic or the time your flight actually lands. Airport trips follow the published airport tariff rather than a meter.

Can I book before I leave India?

Yes, and it is the better way to do it. Book online with your flight number before you fly. Nothing is charged in advance, and cancelling is free up to two hours before a Toronto-area pickup.
