Waterloo's main campus is about 95 kilometres from Pearson: Highway 401 west, the Conestoga Parkway north, and University Avenue to Ring Road, typically 60 to 80 minutes. Because Waterloo runs on co-op, the trip repeats in a way it does not at most universities: a student arrives in September, leaves for a work term in January, comes back in May, and flies home somewhere in the middle. A fixed fare and a driver who already knows the residence entrances turn that into a routine rather than a series of small crises.
The fare is the Waterloo published out-of-town rate with HST included, and it is worth saying plainly that Waterloo and Kitchener are different published rates; this page shows the Waterloo one, which is what the campus address costs. It is the same number to Village 1 as to a student apartment off King Street, the same in both directions, and it is paid to the driver at the end of the trip by card or cash in the car. A parent booking from abroad pays nothing up front.

Name the building in the booking notes and the driver goes there rather than to the University Avenue entrance.
- Columbia Lake Village and the apartments along Columbia Street and Lester Street are a few minutes from the core and inside the same Waterloo rate.
- The Waterloo campus and Wilfrid Laurier next door share the University Avenue corridor; a student at either can be dropped at the other on the same fare, which is useful when two friends share a car from Pearson.
- Co-op means January and May arrivals as well as September. Book as soon as the flight is ticketed for any of them; the fare and the process are identical in the coldest week of January and on Labour Day weekend.
- Off-peak the drive is about 60 minutes; a weekday afternoon or a Friday through the Milton stretch of the 401 can run to 80. When it is a flight out, the pickup is timed from live conditions on the 401, not an average.
