University of Toronto Scarborough airport limo.

Across the whole city from the airport to Military Trail, on one flat published rate that does not change with the traffic it crosses.

Pearson to UTSC, flat

Sedan up to 3 passengers, 3 bags $100
SUV up to 6 passengers, 5 bags $120

The flat GTAA-tariff fare for 1265 Military Trail, Scarborough, ON M1C 1A4, HST included, the same in both directions. Scarborough is priced by neighbourhood zone, so a residence a few streets away can sit in a different zone; enter the exact address and your fare shows before you confirm. 45 km · about 35 to 50 minutes. Never surges.

UTSC is at the far eastern end of Toronto, on Military Trail above the Highland Creek valley, and getting there from Pearson means crossing the entire city. It is the longest in-town campus run we do, and it is the one where a fixed fare matters most: an hour on Highway 401 in the wrong direction costs a metered car a great deal and costs this booking nothing, because the number was set before the wheels came down.

The fare is the flat published rate for the campus zone under the official airport tariff, with HST inside it and no surcharge for the hour or the weather. It is the same in both directions and it is settled with the driver at the end of the trip, by card or cash in the car, which is why a family booking from overseas is never asked for a deposit or a card on file.

Most of these trips are students, and a good share of them are arriving for the first time with everything they own in two suitcases. The sedan seats three with three checked bags. Anyone moving in for the year, or two friends splitting a ride from the same flight, should take the SUV and put the luggage where luggage goes.

Your first landing at Pearson, in order

  1. Your flight is tracked automatically from the moment you book, so a late departure or a slow taxi to the gate moves your driver's timing without a call from anyone.
  2. Included waiting starts from wheels-down: 60 minutes on international arrivals, 30 on domestic. That is enough for immigration, a study permit interview, and baggage for almost everyone.
  3. When you reach arrivals with your bags, look at your phone. Your chauffeur has texted the exact spot they are standing, curbside at your terminal, with the car's licence plate.
  4. Walk out, find the plate, and the driver loads everything. Nothing to sign and nothing to pay yet.
  5. At the campus door you pay the driver, by card or cash in the car, exactly the flat fare you saw when the trip was booked. HST is already in it.

Where the car goes on campus

  • Residence here is a village of townhouse halls with tree names, thirteen of them across the north and south sides, along with Joan Foley Hall, the apartment building for upper-year students that looks over the Highland Creek valley. Naming the hall in the booking notes puts the car at the right door.
  • The campus is bounded by Military Trail and Ellesmere Road, with the valley below it, and the whole site is priced as one zone, so the fare is the same whichever entrance you are headed for.
  • The 401 is the whole story of this drive. Off-peak it moves and the trip is under three quarters of an hour; a weekday afternoon eastbound through the middle of the city is a different journey, which the fixed fare quietly absorbs.
  • The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre sits on the campus and brings its own arrivals, teams and officials and families, on the same published rate as a student move-in.
  • For a departing flight from this side of the city we set the pickup time from live traffic rather than a rule of thumb, because the difference between a good run and a bad one on the 401 is close to half an hour.

Every trip includes

  • GTAA-tariff flat rate. HST included.
  • Meet & greet at arrivals: coming soon.
  • Flight tracking automatically. If you land early, the driver knows; if you're delayed, the pickup shifts.
  • Complimentary airport wait from wheels-down: 60 minutes international, 30 domestic.
  • Free cancellation up to 2 hours before pickup.

UTSC questions, answered.

How much is a limo from Pearson to UTSC?

The fare above is the flat rate for the campus zone under the official airport tariff, HST included, identical in both directions. It does not change for rush hour, a weekend, a snowstorm, or a flight that arrives four hours late.

How long is the drive?

Around forty minutes when the road is clear and closer to an hour on a weekday afternoon, almost all of it on Highway 401 heading east. It is the longest in-city campus run we do, which is exactly why the fare being fixed is worth something.

Which residence does the driver go to?

Whichever you name in the booking notes. The townhouse halls and Joan Foley Hall each have their own entrance, and a driver who has been told the hall does not leave a tired student to walk the last stretch with their bags.

Can a parent abroad book this?

Yes. Enter your own mobile with its country code, tick that the passenger is someone else, and add the student's number. The confirmation comes to you, the driver's arrival message goes to them, and the fare is paid in the car at the end rather than charged in advance.

What if the flight lands late or the permit desk is slow?

The flight is tracked from booking, so the driver is not sitting on a schedule that has already changed. Included waiting is 60 minutes from wheels-down on an international arrival and 30 on domestic; past that the posted per-10-minute rate applies and the driver stays.

Where does the driver wait at the airport?

Curbside on the arrivals level at the student's own terminal, and they text the exact spot and the licence plate before the bags are collected. Add a parent's number as well if the student's phone will not be working in Canada on landing.

Sedan or SUV for a move-in?

The SUV, for a year of luggage: six seats and five checked bags. The sedan takes three passengers and three bags and is the right choice for a visit, a reading-week trip, or a student travelling light.

Do you go to student housing off campus in the east end?

Yes, to any address in Scarborough. Fares there are set by zone, so the number for a house near Morningside or a building on Kingston Road may differ from the campus. Enter the address and the correct fare appears before you confirm.

How does the trip back to Pearson work?

The same flat fare in reverse. Book the pickup with your flight number and we work backwards from live traffic and your airline's check-in window, which on this route is the part people underestimate. Cancellation is free up to 2 hours before pickup.
